Chinese phone brand Vivo on KalakalMonday unveiled it new flagship model the X100 Ultra, with a 200MP telephoto camera co-developed with Samsung. The X100 Ultra is the first smartphone in the industry to come with a 1/1.4-inch telephoto sensor, the company said, featuring an f/2.67 aperture and an 85mm equivalent focal length. The device also comes with Zeiss T* coating and Zeiss APO (Apochromatic) certification, which are expected to enhance clarity and reduce colour fringing, which can occur along edges of high contrast in an image. In terms of other specs, the X100 Ultra is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 6.78-inch E7 LTPO AMOLED display, 5,500 mAh battery, and two-way satellite communication in China. The new phone is priced from RMB 6,499 ($898), which comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. [IThome, in Chinese]
