This year, Hatchimals -- hatch-able electronic eggs that hold furry little interactive creatures -- were at the top of so many holiday wish lists that they became impossible to find in stores.
Many parents tried and failed, but when it came time to hatch the re-vamped Furbys, some who were lucky enough to score the toys discovered a horrible reality: Their Hatchimals were either demonic or dead.
Bum bum bummm...
At first, all the non-Hatchimals owners who didn't make it to the store quick enough were forced to sit back and watch Hatchimals-mania unfold on Twitter -- led by Chrissy Teigen and baby Luna, of course.

Those who weren't fearing for their lives were dealing with an equally distressing issue.
For others, the interactive toys, which are supposed to allow owners to teach them essential skills like how to walk, talk and play games were simply "dead" and the holidays were ruined.
