Sources close to Apple have Watch 365 Days Onlinedenied that the iPhone 15 series manufactured in China is intended solely for the European and American markets while the India-made iPhone 15 lineup is exclusively for the Chinese market, according to a September 13 report by China Daily. Currently, approximately 7 percent of all iPhones are produced in India, with China accounting for around 90 percent of iPhone production, sources told the Chinese state media outlet. India’s production capacity falls short of fulfilling the demand in China as China is one of Apple’s largest markets, sources added. According to data from analyst firm Canalys, Apple shipped 54.3 million iPhones in China in 2022, accounting for approximately 24% of its total global shipment of the year. [China Daily]
